The Marche and its beauties
The Marche is a region of gentle hills and valleys that descend from the Apennines to the sea. In the inland areas ancient villages survive, medieval settlements closed between walls, castles and fortresses that overlook the hills. The typical trait of the Marche landscape is a succession of soft hills that run like coasts up to so many waves, where golden and thin sand beaches stretch out into the waters of the sea, in a continuous and uniform line interrupted only by the Conero promontory.
A tourist eager to browse the streets and hills of the Marche region, can enjoy the spectacular alternation of colors created by the various crops, orchards and also by the vast monochrome patches of cereal monocultures that extend along the inclined walls of the hills, crops that they change the landscape with the alternation of the seasons. Immersed in this peaceful landscape ancient towns continue to live in a continuum between past, present and future.
